The rich, bold flavors of freshly ground coffee pair beautifully with the natural beefiness of the meat, creating a truly unique and mouthwatering dish.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp finely ground coffee
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 lbs flank steak

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, combine the ground coffee, brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir to mix well.
  2. Pat the steak dry with paper towels and generously rub the coffee seasoning all over both sides of the meat.
  3. Preheat your grill or cast-iron skillet to medium-high heat. Cook the steak for 3-5 minutes per side, depending on your desired doneness.
  4. Allow the steak to rest for 5 minutes before slicing against the grain. Serve immediately and enjoy the bold, coffee-infused flavor.
Cooking Tips:

For an even richer coffee flavor, grind your own beans just before making the rub. Let the steak sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before cooking to ensure even heating.

Baste the steak with a bit of butter or oil while cooking to help the coffee rub caramelize.
